*Newly expanded at the request of previous particpants* This training will introduce participants over the course of a day and a half to the Charting a New Course (CANC) curriculum and it’s application with criminal justice-involved clients. Discussion will focus on the overall structure of the curriculum and how to prepare to facilitate a CANC group session. Practice elements will include review of group facilitation skills, application of cognitive restructuring using CANC vocabulary and tools, and guidance around specific lessons from the curriculum. The training also now includes a one hour observation with feedback of the trainee facilitating the curriculum.
