*New package of both the newly expanded Facilitating Charting a New Course training, the booster, as well as an observation with feedback* The intial training will introduce participants over the course of a day and a half to the Charting a New Course (CANC) curriculum and it’s application with criminal justice-involved clients. Discussion will focus on the overall structure of the curriculum and how to prepare to facilitate a CANC group session. Practice elements will include review of group facilitation skills, application of cognitive restructuring using CANC vocabulary and tools, and guidance around specific lessons from the curriculum. The training also now includes a one hour observation with feedback of the trainee facilitating the curriculum. The booster provides an opportunity to further explore facilitating this curriculum, ask further questions and receive time for further practice.
