Life can be stressful. Work can be stressful. This training will be an opportunity to look at how stress impacts us in the workplace, factors that contribute to it, and strategies to manage it. We will also discuss role conflict, why it can be a source of stress (especially in community corrections) and how to address it. Finally, we will cover burnout, how to recognize signs of it, and strategies to avoid it. There will be opportunities for self-reflection and peer collaboration on stress responses and management. There will be opportunities for self-reflection and peer collaboration on stress responses and management. Each session will be focused on a specific job title from the Criminal Justice Support Centers. Participants should register for the date their job title is meeting to allow for discussions about their specific role in the center.
